On Monday, March 16, the handover ceremony for the Justice Information System (SIJ), specifically its Criminal Proceedings Information Subsystem (SIPP) component, took place at the Ministry of Justice’s offices in the city of Praia.
The respective Delivery Agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of NOSi, Carlos Tavares Pina, as the entity responsible for the development and implementation of the SIJ, and by the President of the Institute for the Modernization and Innovation of Justice, Juvenal Pereira. The ceremony was presided over by the Minister of Justice, Dr. Joana Rosa, and was also attended by various relevant entities from the justice sector.
This milestone marked the consolidation of the SIJ’s operationalization as a cross-sector platform for the justice sector, designed to support the digital processing of cases, facilitate interoperability and communication among judicial institutions, and promote the dematerialization of proceedings. The system thus contributes to the simplification of workflows and the strengthening of a more efficient, transparent, and expeditious justice system.
The occasion also served to formalize the Letter of Commitment regarding the short-term delivery of the Civil Case Information System component, continuing the process of technological modernization of the justice system.
