NOSi publicly repudiates the completely unfounded statements made by the PAICV candidate for Praia City Council in the upcoming local elections, in the RCV Campaign Newspaper of November 19, 2nd Edition, in which he states that “Ulisses Correia E Silva dja skeci de Cabo Verde e dje obsseka ku Praia (...) pamodi dje odja uma derrota bedju ta ben e és teni um plano pa ben roba ku NOSi nas mesas de voto (...)”. These statements, apart from being unfounded and irresponsible, represent a total lack of knowledge about the country's electoral process and the magnificent work of the NOSi professionals who have contributed significantly to Cape Verde being recognized and respected around the world as capable of managing electoral processes well - presenting results almost in real time and knowing the winners on the day, with security, confidence and peace of mind.

NOSi would like to clarify that: 

1. It never interferes, nor could it technically interfere, in the process of citizens voting or in the counting of ballot papers, nor in the downloading of these, which are the exclusive responsibility of the Polling Stations, whose rules and procedures for constitution and operation are duly explained in the electoral code in force.

2. Although it is a Public Business Entity with 100% public capital, it enjoys total organic, functional and above all technical independence, and is an institution of the Republic with more than 25 years of experience in the area of national Digital Governance and with extraordinary results in the electoral field in particular, recognized nationally and internationally, from the voter registration process in the Country and in the Diaspora, to the process of collecting and disseminating the provisional results of all elections, as was the case with the last municipal elections of 2020.

NOSi therefore reaffirms its full confidence in the high professional standards of its employees, who work competently and tirelessly on behalf of the institution and the country, and will therefore maintain its firm resolve to continue the work it has been doing on behalf of Cape Verdean society, its democracy and freedom, vehemently refuting all of the above statements by the PAICV candidate for the Praia City Council, which are absolutely slanderous and without any substance of truth, the sole purpose of which is to tarnish the good name of the institution, its credibility and its nationally and internationally recognized technical independence.
