NOSi, as a partner of the Ministry of Justice and other stakeholders in the sector, responsible for the development and implementation of the Justice Information System (SIJ), convened an expanded team of internal experts on Tuesday, April 22, under the leadership of the chairman of the board of directors, Carlos Tavares Pina, to take stock and reflect on the implementation of this system, which is already at a very advanced stage, with the “Criminal Procedure” subsystem having been operational in the districts of Praia, São Vicente, Sal, and Santo Antão since January 2025.

During the meeting, the coordinator, Mr. Benvindo Costa, provided an update on the various components of the project, and the challenges as well as strategies for the next steps were discussed, taking into account the SIJ project since the technical and functional audit phase of the former system—now replaced—which was developed in 2013/2014. The audit results were reviewed and presented by NOSi’s Director of Security and Digital Identity, Engineer Adilson Rodrigues.

The SIJ is a cross-sector platform for the justice sector designed to facilitate communication and support the digital processing of case files. Its objective is to digitize case files and streamline workflows to ensure swift and efficient justice.
