NOSi participated in the 7th Digital Security Challenge and Cyber Games in Malaysia

“It was an incredible opportunity not only to face real-world challenges and apply forensic analysis skills, but also to meet amazing people from around the world, experience the local culture, and exchange knowledge. We managed to achieve the remarkable result of having one representative in second place and another in fourth. The overall experience was extremely positive.”

This was the testimony of technicians Natalício Lopes and Mysleidy D’Oliveira, from the Directorate of Security and Digital Identity, who represented NOSi at the 7th Digital Security Challenge / Cyber Games, held from May 20 to 23 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Organized by the Government of Malaysia, in collaboration with the Council of Europe and INTERPOL, the event brought together 120 participants from 40 countries to tackle challenges in digital investigation, OSINT, malware analysis, cryptocurrencies, and incident response. The four-day event also marked the first edition of the Cyber Games, a global platform designed to enhance international capacity, foster engagement, and strengthen digital forensic skills among cybersecurity professionals.

The opening ceremony featured remarks from Malaysia’s Minister of Digital, who highlighted a 78% increase in ransomware attacks in the country, underscoring the urgent need for global cooperation in cybersecurity.

NOSi’s participation in this event is a recognition of the expertise and competence of its professionals, who had the opportunity to test and refine their skills in one of the most innovative international cybersecurity arenas.
