To celebrate the World Safer Internet Day, under the motto: "A better Internet starts with you", a team from NOSi was at the Luciano Garcia Secondary School - São Lourenço dos Órgãos - this Tuesday, February 8th, participating in several activities.

Lecture on Cybersecurity given to the entire student community by a specialist from NOSi's Security and Compliance Department; Delivery of computers to Luciano Garcia Secondary School; Inauguration of the Konekta Digital Square, in the atrium of this school, in order to ensure free access to the Internet and knowledge to thousands of students, children and youth of this municipality.

In attendance were the Mayor of this municipality, Carlos Vasconcelos, the Executive Director of NOSi, Lumumba Barbosa and team, the Delegate of the Ministry of Education in the County, the representative of the Parents and Guardians, as well as the entire academic community of the Liceu Luciano Garcia.

World Safer Internet Day is an annual initiative, always celebrated on February 8th, which aims to involve and unite different actors both public and private, to promote awareness-raising activities around the safe, ethical and responsible use of ICTs, in schools, universities, NGOs and the network itself. Created by the Insafe Network in Europe, it currently gathers more than 200 countries to mobilize users and institutions around the date and encourage free and safe use.
