The handover ceremony of the Justice Information System (SIJ), specifically its Criminal Proceedings Information Subsystem (SIPP), took place on Monday, March 16, at the Ministry of Justice in the city of Praia.
The Delivery Agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of NOSi, Carlos Tavares Pina, representing the entity responsible for the development and implementation of the SIJ, and by the President of the Institute for the Modernization and Innovation of Justice, Juvenal Pereira. The ceremony was presided over by the Minister of Justice, Dr Joana Rosa, and was also attended by several key stakeholders from the justice sector.
This milestone marks the consolidation of the SIJ as an operational, cross-cutting platform for the justice sector, designed to support the digital processing of cases, facilitate interoperability and communication among judicial institutions, and promote the dematerialisation of proceedings. The system thus contributes to the simplification of workflows and to strengthening a more efficient, transparent, and expeditious justice system.
The occasion also served to formalise the signing of a Letter of Commitment concerning the short-term delivery of the Civil Case Information System component, thereby continuing the technological modernisation of the justice system.
