On Friday, July 17, NOSi welcomed Manuel Pietra, CEO of FreeBalance, a Canadian technology company specializing in public financial management solutions and digital transformation for governments. The meeting, led by Carlos Tavares Pina, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NOSi, provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and identify areas of mutual interest for potential cooperation.

The visit took place during Manuel Pietra's participation in the Women in Tech Lusofonia Summit 2026. Taking advantage of his stay in Cabo Verde, he visited NOSi to learn more about the country's digital ecosystem and the progress achieved in digital transformation. During the meeting, NOSi presented its key projects and initiatives, with a particular focus on the modernization of public financial management, technical capacity building, and innovation in the public sector.

Manuel Pietra expressed interest in exploring opportunities for collaboration with NOSi, recognizing the institution's role in advancing digital government in Cabo Verde and in promoting and developing local talent. The FreeBalance CEO was accompanied by Ayumi Moore Aoki, Founder and CEO of Women in Tech Global, and Euclídio Bié, the company's representative for the African region.
